How to make your UPSC uploads
- 01
Take the photo against a white wall
Face the light, look straight at the camera and keep your ears and shoulders in view. The tool frames it and makes the file the right size.
- 02
Sign on plain white paper
Use a black pen, sign large and photograph the page from above. The tool removes the paper and shadows.
- 03
Download both files and upload them
Each download is already at the form's pixel size and inside its KB limits, so the form accepts it as it is.
Questions people ask
What is the UPSC photo size?
A JPG between 20 KB and 300 KB per UPSC's FAQ, from 350 × 350 up to 1000 × 1000 pixels. Newer portal instructions list a 200 KB maximum, so PhotoDesk makes a 700 × 900 px photo under 200 KB, which passes both.
How do I sign for the UPSC form?
Sign three times, one below the other, on plain white paper with black ink, then photograph the page. The tool removes the paper shadow and saves a JPG between 20 and 100 KB.
Will UPSC reject my form for a wrong image size?
UPSC's FAQ says candidature isn't cancelled over the size or ink colour of the signature, but a poor-quality photo or signature can get the application rejected. Upload clear images inside the limits.
