Questions people ask
Is my recording uploaded anywhere?
No. It is recorded by your browser and stays on your device until you download it. Nothing is sent to a server, and closing the page deletes anything you haven't downloaded.
How does the noise reduction work?
It turns on the noise suppression, echo cancellation and automatic volume built into your browser, then removes hum and rumble below 80 Hz, such as fans, air conditioning and electrical hum. It works best on steady background noise; switch it off for music, where you want the raw sound.
Which video format do I get?
MP4 where your browser can make it (Safari and recent Chrome), otherwise WebM. Both play in modern browsers, and WebM uploads to YouTube and most sites.
Why is the preview mirrored but the video isn't?
A mirrored preview feels natural, like looking in a mirror. The saved video shows you as others see you, so text on your shirt reads the right way.
