Your photo stays on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
Photos and screenshots both work. On a computer you can also paste an image with Ctrl+V.
How to read a QR code from an image
- 01
Pick the image with the QR code
Choose a photo or screenshot, take a photo of the code, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V on a computer.
- 02
Read what it says
The tool shows the exact text in the code and sorts it out for you: the website a link goes to, the UPI ID and amount of a payment, or a Wi-Fi name and password.
- 03
Copy it or open it
Copy the text, or open a link once you've checked the full address. Nothing opens by itself.
What it can read
- Website links, with the full address shown before you open them
- UPI payment requests: who you would pay, their UPI ID and the amount
- Wi-Fi codes: the network name and password, to type on another device
- Contact cards (vCard): name, phone, email and company
- Phone numbers, email addresses, text messages and map locations
- Plain text, such as ticket numbers, serial numbers and codes on bills
Questions people ask
How do I read a QR code from a screenshot or a photo in my gallery?
Tap Choose image and pick the screenshot or photo. The tool finds the QR code in it and shows what it says. You don't need a second phone to point a camera at it.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The code is read by your browser on your own device, and the image never leaves it. That matters for Wi-Fi passwords, payment codes and tickets.
Is it safe to open the link in a QR code?
Only if the address is the site you expect. QR codes can hide fake payment or login pages, so the tool shows the full address and never opens it by itself. Check the domain carefully before you tap.
Can I check a UPI QR code before paying?
Yes. The tool shows the payee name, UPI ID and any amount in the code. Make sure the UPI ID belongs to the person or shop you mean to pay. Scanning a code to receive money is a common scam: you never need to pay or enter a PIN to receive.
Why does it say no QR code was found?
The code may be too small, blurred or cut off at the edge. Crop the image closer to the code, or take the photo straight on in good light so all four corners are visible.
