Questions people ask
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The image is resized by your browser on your own device and never leaves it. That also makes it fast: there is nothing to upload or wait for.
Is 240 KB the only rule for a US visa photo?
No. The photo must also be square, between 600 × 600 and 1200 × 1200 pixels, with the head at the right size on a plain light background. The US visa photo maker sets all of those and keeps the file under 240 KB at the same time.
Why does my 240 KB photo get rejected?
Usually it is not the file size but the pixel dimensions or the framing. Check the photo is square and at least 600 pixels on each side, or make it with the US visa photo maker.
