Good to know

  • Many upload forms take only JPG: the OCI portal, SSC and IBPS, for example, all ask for JPEG files.
  • JPG suits photos and is the smallest. PNG keeps sharp text and transparency. WebP is small and keeps transparency, but some older apps can't open it.
  • Converting never adds detail: an image saved small once stays that way in any format.

Questions people ask

Are my images uploaded?

No. Each image is converted by your browser on your own device, so nothing is sent anywhere and there is no queue to wait in.

Which format should I choose?

JPG for photos and for forms that ask for it, PNG for screenshots, logos and anything with transparency, WebP for websites where small files matter.
