How to print passport photos at home or at a kiosk
- 01
Upload your photo
Use a finished passport photo, already cropped to size, such as the download from one of our country pages.
- 02
Pick the size and paper
Choose the photo size your country asks for and the paper you will print on. The preview shows how many photos fit.
- 03
Print at actual size
Download the sheet and print it at 100% (actual size). Cut along the grey lines at the edge of each photo.
Printing tips
- Turn off 'fill', 'fit to page' or borderless printing: each enlarges the sheet a little, which makes every photo too big.
- At a kiosk or online photo service, order a 4 × 6 in (10 × 15 cm) print so the sheet isn't scaled. At home, print A4 or 5 × 7 in with scaling off.
- Measure one photo with a ruler before you cut them all: 2 × 2 in is 51 mm, and 35 × 45 mm should measure exactly that.
- Rules on home prints and paper type differ by country, so check the official source linked on your country's page.
Questions people ask
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The sheet is drawn by your browser on your own device, and the photo never leaves it.
How many passport photos fit on a 4 × 6 print?
6 at 2 × 2 in (US, India visa, OCI and DV Lottery) and 8 at 35 × 45 mm (UK, Schengen, India, Australia, Ireland and others), each at its exact size.
Why are my printed photos the wrong size?
The printer or kiosk scaled the sheet. Print again at 100% or actual size with borderless and fill options off; the sheet is made at 300 dpi so each photo measures exactly its official size.
My photo isn't cropped yet. What do I do?
Make it on the passport or visa page for your country first: it sizes your head and checks the background, and its download includes a 4 × 6 in sheet too.
