How to merge PDF files

  1. 01

    Add your files

Pick the PDFs, and any photos or scans, all at once or a few at a time. Each shows how many pages it has.

  2. 02

    Put them in order

Move files up or down, and remove any you don't need. Every page of each PDF is kept, in its own order.

  3. 03

    Merge and download

Tap Merge into one PDF. The button shows the total page count before you start.

Good to know

  • Pages keep their size and quality: they are copied, not re-printed
  • Images become A4 pages with a small margin, turned to match landscape photos
  • Password-protected PDFs need their password removed first; the tool tells you which file
  • If a form limits the size, photos make the file larger; use the PDF size tool for image-only PDFs

Questions people ask

Are my PDFs uploaded?

No. The files are joined by your browser on your own device, so contracts, statements and certificates never leave it.

Will merging lower the quality of my PDF?

No. Pages are copied as they are, with their text, fonts and images untouched, so you can still select and search the text.

Can I merge a PDF with a photo of a page?

Yes. Add the photo with the PDFs and move it where it belongs. It becomes one A4 page; for a cleaner page, scan it with our document scanner first.

Why does it say my file is password-protected?

Some banks and offices lock PDFs. Open the file with its password, save or print a copy without one, then add that copy here.
