How to make your signature

  1. 01

    Draw, type or photograph it

Sign on the pad with your finger or mouse, type your name and pick a style, or take a photo of your signature on paper.

  2. 02

    Pick the ink

Choose black, blue or red. The paper becomes transparent and the edges stay smooth.

  3. 03

    Copy or download

Copy pastes it straight into a document. PNG keeps the clear background, JPG sits on white and SVG stays sharp at any size.

Good to know

  • Copy puts a clear-background PNG on the clipboard: paste with Ctrl+V, or long-press and Paste on a phone.
  • In Word or Google Docs, set the pasted image to 'In front of text' so you can move it onto the signature line.
  • Exam and bank forms compare the uploaded signature with the one you sign on the day, so use your real handwritten signature for them.

Questions people ask

Is my signature uploaded?

No. It is drawn, cleaned and saved by your browser on your own device. Nothing about it is sent anywhere.

Can I copy and paste my signature as text?

Not as letters: text always shows in the reader's own fonts, so it would no longer look like your signature. It copies as an image instead, which pastes into documents, emails and chats the same way.

Is a drawn or typed signature valid?

That depends on the document and the country. Many everyday documents accept an image of your signature; some contracts need a certified digital signature, such as a DSC or Aadhaar eSign in India. Ask whoever asked you to sign.

How do I add it to a PDF?

Download the PNG, then use your PDF app's 'Add image', 'Fill & Sign' or 'Sign' option and place it on the line. The clear background keeps the text under it visible.
