Add your name and date on a photo
Some exam and job application forms ask for your name and the date the photo was taken printed on the photo itself. Type them once and the tool adds a clean white strip with both, then saves a JPG under the size limit your form sets.
- White strip, two lines
- Nothing uploaded
Your photo stays on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
Use a recent passport-style photo: face and shoulders, plain light background.

- 02
Type name and date

- 03

Choose the strip's place and the file size limit, check the preview, and download the JPG.
Good to know
- Check your notification's photo instructions first: it says whether the name and date are needed, and how recent the photo must be.
- The strip covers the bottom 18% of the photo, usually the shoulders. If that would cut your chin, choose Below the photo instead.
- The text is sized to fit, so long names get smaller letters rather than running off the edge.
- Names in Hindi, Bengali, Tamil and other scripts work, drawn with your device's own fonts.
Questions people ask
Is my photo uploaded?
No. The strip is drawn by your browser on your own device, and the JPG is saved straight from it.
Which date should I use?
The date the photo was taken, not the date you apply. Forms that ask for it often also say the photo must be recent, for example taken within the last few days before applying.
My form needs the photo under 50 KB. Will the text stay readable?
Yes. The tool keeps the full size and lowers JPEG compression first, and only shrinks the photo if it must. Two lines of bold black text on white stay readable at small sizes.
Can I change the background too?
Yes. Make the background white or light first with our background tool, then add your name and date here.
