Convert VCF to CSV (vCard to Excel)
Turn a .vcf contacts file into a spreadsheet: one row per contact, with names, phone numbers, emails, company and address in their own columns. Accents and other alphabets open correctly in Excel.

How to convert a VCF file to CSV
- 01
Export your contacts as .vcf
From your phone's Contacts app or Google Contacts (Export → vCard).
- 02
Choose the file here
One file can hold any number of contacts.
- 03
Download the CSV
Open it in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers.
Good to know
- Older Android phones save vCard 2.1 with accents encoded; they are decoded, so “José” stays “José”.
- Contact photos are left out, because a spreadsheet can't hold them.
- Only columns that some contact fills are included, so the sheet stays tidy.
- The CSV is UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, which tells Excel to show accents correctly.
Questions people ask
How do I open a VCF file in Excel?
Excel can't read .vcf directly. Convert it to CSV here, then open the CSV in Excel: each contact is a row and each detail a column.
Does it handle a file with many contacts?
Yes. Phone and Google exports put every contact in one .vcf, and each becomes its own row.
Are my contacts uploaded?
No. The file is read by your browser on your own device. Contact lists are personal data, so nothing is sent anywhere.
Why do some contacts have more email columns than others?
The sheet gets as many Email and Other Phone columns as the contact with the most needs; the rest leave the extra cells empty.
