JPG to PDF under 500 KB

Turn photos or scans of a document into one PDF smaller than 500 KB. IBPS asks for the 10th certificate as an A4 PDF of up to 500 KB, and many portals use 500 KB for documents with a few pages.

How to make a PDF under 500 KB from photos

  1. 01

    Add your images

Pick photos or scans in page order; you can reorder or remove them after.

  2. 02

    Check the limit

500 KB is already selected. The page size and margins can be changed too.

  3. 03

    Make the PDF

Each image gets its share of the limit. Download the PDF and check that it reads well.

What fits in 500 KB

  • Five or more pages of text fit in 500 KB, or a couple of pages with colour photos.
  • Photograph pages flat, in daylight, and crop off the table: every pixel of background costs bytes.
  • For a clean white page from a phone photo, straighten and whiten it in the document scanner first.

Questions people ask

Is my file uploaded?

No. The PDF is made in your browser on your own device and never sent anywhere.

Will the text still be readable?

Yes, if the limit suits the number of pages. Each image keeps its quality until the limit forces a change: compression goes up first, and pixels drop only if that isn't enough. Open the download and check every page.

How do I make a PDF under 500 KB on my phone?

Open this page in your phone's browser, add the photos or take them with the camera, and tap Make PDF. 500 KB is already selected, and there is no app to install.

Can I make a PDF from screenshots or PNG files?

Yes. JPG, PNG and WebP images all work, and each becomes one page.

My file came out well under the limit. Is that a problem?

Only if the form also sets a minimum. Your images are already at their best quality, so a larger limit won't make the file bigger; photograph or scan the pages larger and add them again.

Can I make a multi-page PDF under 500 KB from phone photos?

Yes. Add up to 30 photos, one per page, and the 500 KB is shared between them by size. Five or more pages of printed text usually stay readable.

Will colour photos stay sharp in 500 KB?

A couple of colour pages stay clear. For many colour pages, choose 1 MB in the file size options if the form allows it.

Can I reorder or remove pages before making the PDF?

Yes. Use the arrows beside each page to move it up or down, and the remove button to drop it. The PDF follows the order in the list.
