What it does and doesn't do
- Finds people: one person, a couple or a family photo. It does not cut out products, animals, cars or logos.
- Hair edges are softer than a studio cut-out, because the model is small enough to run on a phone.
- Not for US passport or visa photos: the US rejects edited photos. Take those against a plain white wall.
- Signatures and logos on white paper need a different method: use the signature background remover.

Is my photo uploaded?
No. The person is found by a model that runs in your browser. The photo never leaves your device, so there is no daily limit and no account.
Is it really free?
Yes, with no watermark, no credits and no lower-quality free version. The site is paid for by ads on the page.
Can I put a colour behind the person instead?
Yes. Tap white, blue, red or any colour after the cut-out appears, and the photo downloads as a JPG.
Why wasn't my object removed from its background?
The model only knows people. For a product on a plain table, a photo editor's magic wand or lasso tool works better.
