Merge photo and signature into one image

To merge a photo and a signature into one image, add both here: the signature is placed under the photo at the same width on a white background, and you download one JPG under 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB. It takes under a minute on your phone, and nothing is uploaded.

How to combine a photo and signature in one image

  1. 01

    Choose your photo

Pick a passport-style photo from your phone or computer. If the form gives a photo shape, such as 3.5 × 4.5 cm, crop it to that first.

  2. 02

    Add your signature

Sign in black or blue ink on white paper, take a photo of it from straight above, and choose that picture. It is scaled to the width of your photo and placed below it, with a thin white gap.

  3. 03

Pick the file size and download

Choose 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB, check the preview, and download one JPG that is ready for the upload box.

Good to know

  • Read the form's notice first. Most forms want the photo and the signature as two separate files. Use one combined image only when the form asks for a “photo with signature” or “photo and signature in one file”.
  • Crop your signature photo close to the ink before you add it. Extra paper around it makes the signature small in the final image.
  • The combined image is as wide as your photo, up to 600 px. That is sharp at passport size and leaves room for good quality inside a small KB limit.
  • If the paper looks grey or has shadows, clean the signature with the signature background remover first, then add the result here.

Questions people ask

How do I combine my photo and signature into one image?

Add your photo and a picture of your signature on this page. The signature is placed under the photo at the same width, on white, and you download a single JPG under 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB. No app or sign-up is needed.

Which forms ask for the photo and signature in one image?

Some state government recruitment portals, university and college admission forms, scholarship portals and ID card applications ask for one image with the photo on top and the signature below. National exams such as SSC, UPSC, IBPS, NEET and JEE ask for separate files instead. The notice for your form says which it wants; follow it exactly.

What size should a photo with signature be?

Use the limit printed on the form. The most common limits are 20 KB, 50 KB or 100 KB, which is why those are the choices here. The image is up to 600 px wide, with the photo on top and the signature below at the same width.

How do I reduce the KB size of a photo with signature?

Pick a smaller size here. The tool lowers the JPG quality first and then the number of pixels until the file fits. To shrink a combined image you already have, use the resize to 50 KB tool instead.

Should the signature go below or beside the photo?

Below, unless the form shows a different layout. Forms that ask for one image almost always show the signature under the photo, which is how this tool places it.

Can I do this on my phone?

Yes. The page works in Chrome, Safari and other phone browsers. Pick the photo from your gallery, photograph your signature, then download the JPG or share it straight to WhatsApp or email.

Why does my signature look grey or have shadows?

A phone photo of paper picks up shadows and the paper's colour. Run it through the signature background remover to get dark ink on pure white, then add the cleaned file here.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. Both images are combined by your browser on your own device and saved straight from it. Nothing is sent anywhere.

Can I add a signature with a transparent background?

Yes. A PNG with a clear background, such as one from the signature maker or the signature background remover, is placed on white, like ink on paper.

Is it free, and is there a watermark?

It is free with no sign-up and no limit, and the JPG you download has no watermark or logo on it.
