Nepal passport photo
Last updated
Short answer: for a Nepal passport applied for in Nepal, you don't need to bring or upload a photo. The Department of Passports takes it at the office when you give your fingerprints, so there is no size in millimetres or pixels to get right.
What the Department of Passports says
Its guide to the application form explains that a mistake in the form can be corrected on request while the photo is being taken (“फोटो खिच्ने समयमा अनुरोध गरी सच्याउन सकिन्छ”), and not after the form is approved. Check every detail in the form before your photo session. Department of Passports: How to fill in a passport application, read on .
Before your photo session
Passport photos everywhere ask for the same basics: glasses off, hair away from your face, and a neutral expression with your mouth closed. Arrive ready for that, with your form details already checked.
Applying from abroad
If you apply at a Nepali embassy or consulate, follow the document list it gives you, since it can differ. If it asks for a printed 35 × 45 mm photo, our passport photo maker and photo checker can make and check one.
