Indonesia visa photo (e-Visa)
An Indonesia visa photo is a digital-only photo of 413 × 531 px, with the head 31.5–36 mm tall on a white background. Make yours here on your phone in about a minute.
Independent tool, not affiliated with any government. Confirm the rules at the official source.
How to get an Indonesia visa photo that passes
- 01
Take the photo
Stand about 2 ft (60 cm) in front of a plain, light wall. Ask someone to take the photo from about 4 ft (1.2 m) away with the camera at face height. Use daylight from a window in front of you, not overhead light. Take off your glasses, keep both eyes open and your mouth closed.
- 02
Check the crop
The tool finds your face, sizes your head and checks the background. If the background isn't plain you can paint it, but a retake is safer. If a check turns amber or red, drag or zoom until it turns green.
- 03
Download or print
Download the digital photo for online forms, or the 4 × 6 in sheet to print at a photo kiosk. Print at actual size and cut along the grey lines.
What you can check for yourself
Free, with no daily limit. The digital photo and the print sheet both download free, as many times as you need. No account, no watermark.
Nothing is uploaded. Test it: after your first photo, turn on airplane mode and make another. It still works, because the photo never leaves your device.
No beautification. The tool never smooths skin or reshapes your face. It crops and sizes the photo, and paints the background only where the rules allow it.
Not a government site. We don't submit applications. Apply only through the official channel, and never pay a website extra to send your photo for you. Official rules: Direktorat Jenderal Imigrasi: Visa FAQ.
No acceptance guarantee. Only the passport or visa office decides. We match the published size rules and show where each one comes from, with the date we checked it.

Questions people ask
What size is the Indonesia e-Visa photo?
Imigrasi asks for a passport-size colour photo as a JPG, JPEG or PNG file of up to 200 KB. It gives no pixel size, so this page makes a 35 × 45 mm passport-size photo (413 × 531 px) and keeps the file under 200 KB.
What background should the Indonesia visa photo have?
The e-Visa doesn't name one. Indonesian embassies that do, such as those in Beijing, Hong Kong, Copenhagen and Wellington, ask for white, so white is the safe choice.
Do I need a photo for the e-VOA (visa on arrival)?
The e-VOA requirements on the Imigrasi FAQ list no photo. The e-Visa types (tourist, business and others) ask for a recent colour photograph.
My photo upload fails on the e-Visa site. Why?
Usually the file is over 200 KB or not a JPG, JPEG or PNG. The download from this page is a JPG under 200 KB.
Applying at an Indonesian embassy on paper?
Each embassy sets its own print size. Beijing and Hong Kong ask for 3 × 4 cm on white, New Delhi asks for 4 × 6 cm for journalist visas. Check your embassy's page, then use the crop to size tool for that size.
Is my photo uploaded to Free Photo Desk?
No. The photo is processed in your browser and never leaves your device. You upload it yourself, to the e-Visa site.
